Returns & Exchanges
Return, Exchange & Product Warranty Policy
Effective Date: July 26, 2026
At LEAD Barber & Salon Supply, we are committed to providing professional-quality equipment, supplies and responsive customer service. To protect our customers, maintain appropriate sanitation standards and ensure that every product sold as new is genuinely new, the following policy applies to all purchases made through LEAD.
This policy covers purchases made through our website, telephone, text message, invoices, local delivery, pickup, payment plans and third-party financing services.
1. Customer Acceptance of Policy
By completing a purchase, submitting payment, accepting delivery or opening a product, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted this Return, Exchange & Product Warranty Policy.
Customers are encouraged to review the product name, model, color, size, blade type, voltage and included accessories before payment and again before opening or using the merchandise.
2. General Return Policy
LEAD does not provide refunds for buyer's remorse, preference changes or products that have been opened, assembled, tested, installed or used.
Eligible merchandise may be returned for exchange or store credit only when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- The request is made within seven calendar days of delivery or pickup.
- The merchandise is completely unused, unopened and factory-sealed.
- The original packaging, accessories, manuals, inserts and promotional items are included.
- The customer provides proof of purchase.
- The merchandise was not designated as final sale, clearance, customized or specially ordered.
Approved store credit does not expire and may be applied toward another product sold by LEAD.
Georgia businesses may establish their own refund and exchange terms, including exchanges, store credit or no adjustment, provided the published policy is honored consistently.
3. Powered Grooming Equipment
This category includes, but is not limited to:
- Clippers, trimmers and detailers
- Foil shavers
- Airbrush systems and compressors
- Atomizers and spray guns
- Air dusters and vacuums
- Towel warmers
- Ring lights and other electrical barber equipment
- Replacement batteries, chargers and power cords
Unopened Equipment
Unopened, factory-sealed equipment may qualify for exchange or store credit within seven calendar days.
Opened or Used Equipment
Once powered equipment has been opened, powered on, tested, adjusted, installed or used, it cannot be returned or exchanged for a different model, brand, color or product type.
Opened equipment may qualify only for a defective-product replacement under Section 7 of this policy.
4. Personal-Care and Sanitation-Sensitive Products
The following products are final sale once delivered and cannot be returned after the package, seal or protective wrapping has been opened:
- Clipper, trimmer and outliner blades

These products cannot be restocked and represented to another customer as new after opening or use.

Opened cosmetics and liquids can be exposed to contamination during use. FDA guidance recognizes contamination as a product-safety concern and recommends evaluating returned cosmetics for deterioration or contamination.
A leaking, damaged or incorrectly delivered product must be reported before use and within 24 hours of delivery.
6. Blades, Foils, Batteries and Replacement Parts
Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility before opening or installing replacement parts.
Replacement parts include:
- Clipper and trimmer blades
- Wide T-blades and standard T-blades
- Foils and cutters
- Batteries
- Chargers and charging docks
- Power cords
- Switches, levers and internal components
- Guards, combs and attachments
Once installed, connected, charged, adjusted or used, replacement parts cannot be returned because of incompatibility or preference.
When requested, LEAD will assist the customer with checking compatibility before purchase. However, the customer must provide the exact brand, model number and, when applicable, a clear photograph of the equipment.
7. Defective Equipment
A product is considered potentially defective when it fails to perform its intended function under normal use because of a manufacturing or material defect.
Examples may include:
- The product will not power on
- The product will not charge
- Abnormal overheating
- A motor that stops or fails during normal operation
- A defective switch, charging port or power connection
- Missing factory components
- Damage present when the sealed package is opened
Normal operating sound, vibration, blade warmth, cosmetic packaging differences, routine blade adjustment or a customer's preference for another model are not automatically considered defects.
Defect Reporting Period
An apparent defect should be reported to LEAD as soon as it is discovered and preferably within seven calendar days of delivery.
The customer must:
1. Stop using the product if continued use could cause damage or injury.
2. Provide proof of purchase.
3. Provide the product model and serial number when available.
4. Provide photographs or video demonstrating the reported problem.
5. Return the equipment, packaging and included accessories for inspection.
Available Remedy
When LEAD confirms that newly purchased equipment is defective, LEAD may provide a replacement of the same product, model and configuration.
A defective item does not automatically qualify for:
* A refund
* An upgrade
* A different brand
* A different model
* Credit toward unrelated merchandise
When the same model is no longer available, LEAD may offer a comparable replacement, store credit or another resolution at its discretion.
8. Manufacturer Warranty Claims
Many professional tools include a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty duration, covered defects, exclusions and available remedies vary by manufacturer.
After LEAD's initial exchange period, warranty service may require the customer to work directly with the manufacturer. Depending on the manufacturer's terms, the product may be inspected, repaired or replaced with the same or an equivalent model.
When possible, LEAD may assist the customer with:
* Locating warranty information
* Confirming proof of purchase
* Submitting documentation
* Coordinating shipment
* Communicating with the manufacturer
Any assistance provided by LEAD is a customer-service courtesy and does not replace or expand the manufacturer's written warranty.
The FTC advises customers to review warranty duration, coverage, exclusions and the required claims process because the available remedy depends on the written warranty's terms.
9. Conditions Not Covered as Defects
LEAD may deny a defective-product exchange when inspection indicates:
* Accidental damage or dropping
* Water, chemical or moisture exposure
* Improper voltage or electrical connection
* Unauthorized repair or modification
* Removed or altered serial numbers
* Improper blade installation
* Excessive zero-gapping or blade adjustment
* Failure to oil, clean or maintain the equipment
* Hair or debris buildup
* Use of incompatible parts or accessories
* Commercial abuse beyond the manufacturer’s specifications
* Damage occurring after delivery
* Ordinary wear and tear
10. Incorrect Items and Delivery Damage
Customers should inspect every order upon delivery.
An incorrect, missing or visibly damaged item must be reported within 24 hours. The merchandise must remain unused and in its original packaging.
When LEAD delivers the wrong item, LEAD will correct the order without charging the customer an additional delivery fee.
A product that was correctly ordered and delivered does not become eligible for return after it has been opened or used.
11. Special Orders and Customized Merchandise
The following purchases are final sale:
- Special-order merchandise
- Products sourced specifically at a customer's request
- Custom logos
- Printed barber capes
- Customized apparel
- Personalized merchandise
- Bulk orders
- Clearance or closeout products
- Products identified as final sale
- Deposits paid toward special-order merchandise
Special-order deposits become nonrefundable once sourcing, design, manufacturing or procurement begins.
12. Bundles, Promotional Sets and Free Items
A bundle or promotional set is treated as one transaction.
An approved return of an unopened bundle must include every product, accessory and promotional item originally included.
Individual components from a bundle cannot be returned separately unless that specific component is confirmed defective.
A defective component may be replaced with the same component without requiring replacement of the entire bundle.
13. Payment Plans and Financing
Products purchased through an internal payment plan, installment arrangement, Klarna, Afterpay, Zip, Sezzle or another financing provider remain subject to this policy.
Opening or using a financed product does not cancel the customer's payment obligation.
Refunds, cancellations and payment adjustments processed through a financing provider are also subject to that provider's rules and processing times.
14. Approved Refunds
Refunds are not the standard remedy under this policy.
A monetary refund may be approved when:
- LEAD cannot fulfill a paid order
- An item is unavailable and no substitute is accepted
- LEAD cannot provide a required correction or replacement
- A refund is otherwise approved in writing by management
Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method. Bank, card and financing-provider processing times may vary.
15. Policy Exceptions
Any exception must be approved in writing by LEAD management.
A one-time courtesy, accommodation or exception does not modify this policy or require LEAD to provide the same exception in another transaction.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
