Monday Neck Strip & Razor Tray Refill: Start the Week Ready
Monday is when the week either starts smooth or starts scrambling. If neck strips ran out Saturday and the razor tray is down to a few blades, every chair feels it by Wednesday. Take ten minutes this morning and refill the small stuff that keeps cuts clean and clients comfortable.
LEAD Barber & Salon Supply is Black-owned. For us, by us. Shop at LEADBLACKS.COM. No invented prices here. Check current price on each product page.
1. Fill the neck-strip station
Neck strips are cheap insurance against a messy cape and a cold clipper against skin. Open a fresh box of Sanek neck strips, load the dispenser or tray, and leave a sealed backup where you can grab it without stopping a fade.
2. Refill the razor tray
Count what is left from the weekend. Reload your main blade so every chair matches. Double-edge shops can load Astra Double Blade Razors. Single-edge setups can grab Derby Single Edge Razors. Keep the open pack in a clean tray and the rest sealed.
3. Top off liquid razor
Fast, even prep makes cleaner lines. Keep Chazap Liquid Razor (or your shop favorite) full at the finish station so you are not watering down a near-empty bottle mid-rush.
4. Gloves within reach
Wet work, cleanup, and color go smoother when gloves are on the station, not buried in the back. Put a fresh box of Black Gloves where every chair can reach them.
5. One Monday checklist
- Neck strips open + backup sealed
- Primary razor brand refilled
- Liquid razor topped off
- Gloves on the station
- Trash and sharps emptied so the tray stays clean

FAQ
How many neck strips should I keep on the station?
Enough for a full busy day without leaving the chair to hunt a box. Many shops keep an open pack at the station and a sealed backup in the drawer.
Double-edge or single-edge razors?
Match the razor and handle your shop already uses. Keep one primary brand on the tray so every chair pulls the same blade.
Do I need liquid razor and cream?
Not always. Liquid razor is a fast prep for clean lines and shaves. Use what your clients like and what keeps your pace.
Why gloves with disposable blades?
Gloves protect you and keep the station looking professional during cleanup, color, and wet work. Swap them between tasks when needed.
